It’s 2020, a new decade and time to Connect In The Real World. When you put social and dating apps in a pot and add some special ingredients, you get blixr.

Our aim is to help bring relationships back into the real world and connect you offline in three easy steps: match, chat and then choose from our handpicked list of activities - perfect for a meet-up or date.

We created blixr to solve 4 main problems:

1. Matches dont lead to messages - Less than 14% of all matches lead to a message sent. With blixr "ChatEasy" starting a conversation is easy, fun and always leads to unique creative messages.

2. Only pen pals, no real life interaction - Less than 7% of online matches meet in real life. On blixr, there’s limited time to setup a date before the match expires, so the focus is on quality rather than quantity of matches.

3. Overwhelming options = indecision - Finding things to do is like Netflix, you get overwhelmed with options. Dont worry we did the hard work for you, so a unique range of handpicked event & restaurant options will be at your fingertips.

4. Making new friends isnt easy - With blixr “TeamUp” feature connect with people who share similar interests in activities. You can also create your own experiences, invite new people and make friends.

HOW IT WORKS

1. SignUp with Email, Google or Facebook (we take your privacy very seriously and we only request info we need e.g. we don’t ask for surname as we don’t display that on the app)
2. Fill in info about you, and express yourself through an interactive profile that focuses on interests as opposed to just aesthetics.
3. Start looking for friends and relationships on the Connect tab. Simply click TeamUp to find like-minded friends or DateUp to begin searching for love.
4. Once you have a mutual TeamUp or DateUp - you will be able to chat with your match. 5. Friends go under the Team section and Dates go under the Date section of the Chat tab.
5. With your Team matches you can talk endlessly, but with Date matches, you only get ten days to set up a date. No one likes to be trapped in a ‘digital pen-pal’ scenario.
6. Choosing what to do with your connections is easy. Just browse the Experience and Food tabs, and you’ll find a limited range of handpicked choices, perfect for a meet-up or date.
7. To edit your settings and filter who you see within the connect tab or update your info and upload new content, visit the Profile tab.
